Birthday Balloons

My grandson had a 14th birthday last Thursday
and this is the bright and cheerful card I gave him.
He was actually born on Mother's day 14 years ago,
what a gift he was, the best one a mother could receive (and grandma, too..lol).

I used some pretty bright cheerful and shiny papers
and backed with a metallic paper.
and the Tutti Designs Balloon Corner for this one.
I colored each balloon in with bright Copics.

Here are my pictures for today...
These are the side view of our wrap around porch at our Lake Huron home.
We will be headed there for 6 days next week
and I can hardly wait!

See the big red star?
We had to take it down as we had a bat residing behind it!

Also a few pictures of my many Day lilies!

How do you like the fly on this one?...LOL!!

I wanna come with you ... That place is just Bliss! A gorgeous home, not that I'd be happy with the bats though Lol!
Happy birthday to your Grandson! Fabulous card!

What a happy card! So nice that he was a Mother's Day baby! Your home looks divine, and that little bat would have kept the mosquitoes away!

Such gorgeous day lilies, Diane! It's been too hot for ours to bloom the past few years, and most of the plants have disappeared altogether! So I'm glad I can enjoy yours.

Happy birthday to your son! Say it isn't so! A grandson FOURTEEN years old? You must have been a child bride (giggle). It's a wonderful card. It's always important for the techie generation to see tangible works of art, I think. It's a validating experience, and one they will remember long after the electronic greetings are forgotten.

Hope your week-end is enjoyable! hugs, de

Bright and cheerful for your grandson! Simple in design which makes it a good card for a boy. Loving these pictures. Keep it up! I'd like to retire at your beach home. Well, in the summer at least. Don't need the bat, though.
