Winter Blues at Dies R Us Challenge

Do you have the winter blues?
Well we certainly do at the
as our theme just happens to be
'Winter Blues'.

I did a somewhat clean and simple card
using a 'new to me' die I recently purchased
from the Dies R Us store.

I think this cute little birdie die
'Penny Black Wonder-Joy die is the sweetest!

I used white card stock to die cut,
then added a bit of Nuvo Large Glue Pen
and sprinkled with Sparkle N Sprinkle Sparkle N Soft Twinkling Clouds
to the branches.

Have you seen the new Tutti Designs
They are fabulous and so reasonably priced too.
I used the Nesting Stitched Ovals, then embossed it.
I tilted it slightly on my paper.

I finished off with a pretty ribbon and snowflake button.

and the products show beautifully!!
All my products used here,
however are in the store,
please feel free to click on the links I have to purchase...thank you!

Happy Sunday to you all,
Diane here with you today with a bit of Spring
to brighten up your day!
January had a BIG reveal of new stamp sets
and one is Easter Chicky.
I made a pretty Spring Easter card with lots of fun products!

Once I had stamped and colored my image with Copics,
I used a Stitched Nesting Oval die from Tutti Designs
to die cut it out.
I also die cut a Sylvan Spring from PoppyStamps.

Once the sprig was cut, I used my 'finger' tool to apply
I love how this gives a nice shiny and very pretty finish.
While it was wet (it dries very quickly), I quickly sprinkled a
small amount of Parisian Mist glitter on, (sparingly) as I want the shine
to really show through.

I embossed the sentiment with Daffodil embossing powder,
then used a 1" round punch to punch it out.

I also stamped the egg shell top and popped it up
on the chicks head after fussy cutting it out.
The single flower and the group of flowers were stamped
and colored with Copics, then Hyacinth glitter was applied.
Both were also fussy cut and popped up.

The gingham oval was die cut using the same Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting ovals.
This is such a cute, cute stamp set and I think it made a cute, cute card!
Thank you for visiting with me today!

Rose Frame

Pretty busy day here, how about you?

I finished up 4 scrapbook pages for Sparkle N Sprinkle, two for January that
I will be showing soon and two for February
that will come out then.

I have a pretty card I just love that was made
for the Tutti Designs store sample.

I used the Rose Frame die for this one.

Plain white card stock for the base with a purple on top.
I buy my card base at Michael's,
it is recollections and 110#, very nice and very reasonable
with the 40 or 50% coupons they offer.
You get 100 sheets each ream for $11.99 before coupon, it is my go to card stock
each and every time, and it also comes in Ivory and Black.

A pretty lavender design paper was added, then I die cut
the die from a lavender card stock,
added a few pearls and the sentiment.

The butterflies were cut from regular card stock, then vellum on top
and more pearls.

Well we are having lovely weather this morning....
Freezing rain, but it has rained for 2 days straight
after our 4 days straight of non stop
On a good note, all the rain melted away
our foot of snow!

But, I am happy as a little clam being able
to stay inside in my creative room and have some fun.
It feels GOOD to get back to creating.
Today I am working on two scrapbook pages for
Sparkle N Sprinkle which I can't show you until next month!

So, for today I have another card I made for

I love this card and the die of course!

Tutti Designs came out with an entire release of just
'Swirly Word' dies
making it super easy to create a card with just the perfect message.

I used the 'Swirly Hugs' die
cut from a scrap paper, then popped it up
on a pretty doily background paper..

No automatic alt text available.

I used a punch to cut the trims you see
and a few flowers and it was done fast!!

Crafty Gals Corner .... Use Patterned Paper
Unicorn Challenge .... January Blues (#2)
Scrapy Land .... ATG

Celebrating January

Here we are a 3rd through January which seems like a very LONG month to me
but to 'ease the pain' it also is the first challenge for
which 'little ole me' is the hostess!

I have chosen the theme
'Celebrating January'
and using anything from the subway art below to inspire you!

For my project I went with the colors and the art itself.
I have had this embossing folder forever it seems and thought
it a perfect background to build from.

I got my very old QuicKutz skates die out
(I seem to use these at least once a year)
and cut blue skates with silver metallic runners.

I used a piece of SU sweater ribbon for the top of each skate
as well as for a bow.
A super fun 'winter' card which celebrates January very well, don't you think?

So pop on over to The Sisterhood and take a peek
at what the 'sistah's' have created, some very fun and creative ideas....
sound like fun?  Then join in with us as we would love to see your creations!!

Entering the following challenges:
Cuttlebug Mania ....Winter Wonderland (1/23)
Unicorn Challenge .... January Blues (1/31)
ABC Christmas Challenge .... A is for ATG...B is for Blue (1/30)
Time Out .... Winter (1/17)

The Cutting Cafe blog where you can see all
the wonderful creations  and inspiration from TCC team.

We are showing two printable greeting sets

I have four cards to share today and I have to admit
I made all four of these cards in about 30 minutes
and could of kept going with more and more cards
as these greeting make it so easy
plus they are easy mailers as well.
I basically (besides the sentiments)
just used a few dies, punches and twine.

So make sure and head over to
(and you might want to take a peek at Shop too
as there are some wonderfully cute things there,
AND did you know she can make custom stamps for you?
go take a peek!!)

Double D Challenge Blogaversary

This is an exciting post as Double D has a one year
anniversary to celebrate with you.
I don't think when Dar and I created this challenge we dreamed
it would ever be as successful as it has become!
We have wonderful designers working with us
and we couldn't be more proud of them...they are FABULOUS!!

Wait until you see what the Design Teams have in store for you
So make sure to pop on over to the Double D challenge blog,
take a peek, leave some love
and read the post very carefully as it is a 'special' one
with some amazing prizes!

The theme is
and using anything from the mood board below to inspire you!

For my creation, I made my card using the chalk board as
my starting point for my inspiration.

I went through every stamp set I had to find
just the perfect sentiment and had almost given up
until I came across this celebrate one.

I made my roses from white card stock and inked them up,
those little brats gave me so much trouble and not sure why,
either it was the glue I was using or just maybe the  fact that it has
been a LONG while since I made my own!
But in the long run they seemed to have 'somewhat' turned out okay.

My leaf flourish was cut from snippets of scrap paper
that has a shiny finish to it.

This was a fun inspiration mood board and so many different things
in it to choose from that I could of made several more!!
